Richard E. Walters, age 80, of passed away December 22, 2018. He was born December 1, 1938, in La Crosse, WI, to parents Everett L. and Orpha Walters.
Richard’s meticulous attention to detail and self-discipline combined with his high level of intelligence made for a long, successful career. Because of his humility, he would never talk about how he holds a US Patent, or that he helped design lifesaving medical equipment. He was a very caring and generous person who loved God above all else.
He was heavily involved at the Quentin Road Baptist Church where he was a faithful member for over 40 years. His passion was to share with others that heaven was available to all who believed that Jesus Christ alone had paid for their sins on the cross. Richard will be missed by many and has left us with wonderful memories we won’t soon forget.
A funeral service will be held January 3, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church, 60 Quentin Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047.
Interment will follow at Lake Zurich Cemetery.
